Bacon Jam

Here's something interesting I found while reading Yummy Magazine's April 2012 issue. RJ Galang of Man Eat Manila's BACON JAM! Whoah! Bacon and Jam? How can you say no to that? To that may I add, where have you been all my life? Because honestly you can never wrong with bacon in my opinion.

Yummy describes it as "... a little bit salty and a little bit sweet, rounded out by a smoky flavor from chunks of bacon..." Hmm.. Sounds good with bread (although I'm not the biggest sandwich fan) or hotcakes or waffles or rice (yes I know that's weird. ahahaha! )!!! Now how do I trick my mom and/or bro to buying one? *insert evil laugh* mwahahah!

Each 150 ml bottle sells for Php 300. To order, see www.maneatmanila.wordpress.com and/or follow @ManEatManila on twitter for availability. You can also reserve via email @maneatmanila@gmail.com. Do hurry cause apparently it's on a first come first serve basis only! :)

China Glaze "Colours From The Capitol" Collection

Along with the successful release of the film Hunger Games, comes the much anticipated "Colours From The Capitol Collection" from China Glaze. The twelve colors are inspired mainly by the lavish lifestyle of the citizens of the Capitol and is representative of the twelve districts. In keeping up with the book and film's theme, the color palette remains to be warm and earthy with lots of green and brown hues.

Who better to endorse this than the mesemerizing Elizabeth Banks herself or most commonly known as Effie Trinket in the movie?

China Glaze Colours From The Capitol Collection is now out in the market and is sold for USD 7 a bottle.

The Kikay Kit Bare Essentials

I am a self-confessed make-up junkie!!! :))) I just LOVE them. So over the years, I have spent thousands upon thousands of pesos just on make-up alone. Although, I don't necessarily use them just because I suck at applying them on my face. It really is an art and boy if you knew me well enough, you'd know that I am no artist. Haha! But still, I proceed to buying more and more make-up products that I don't need just to satisfy that inner womanly urge I get from time to time. Okay that sounds a bit weird. Haha! Anyway, I'm glad that I was able to watch this segment from Etcetera regarding every girl's kikay kit must have that could take her from day to night. The explanation was simple and sensible enough that it might actually lead me to the path of enlightenment. Haha! Since I want to take you all with me, I have written below the "bare essentials":

1. Concealer

Say goodbye to your blemishes, eyebags, and uneven skintone! Well, at least for the time being. Haha! With this wonder stick/cream we can all achieve that flawless picture-perfect complexion!

Tip: To cover under eye "problems", use a concealer with one shade lighter that your skin tone. :)

2.  Dual Powder Foundation

Use it dry for light to medium coverage and wet for heavy coverage.

3. Blush

Add instant color and glow to your face with a blush that comes in a pretty color. Just stroke your brush in upward outward direction!

4. Eyeshadow

To accentuate those pretty peepers, apply eyeshadow in neutral or brownish tones on the crease of your eyes.

5. Eyeliner

To add depth to your eyes, add eyeliner! Don't stress yourself out to get it done perfectly right away. Take your time.

6. Mascara

Mascara gives the illusion of long full luscious lashes!

6. Eyebrow Pencil

This is essential in framing the face so this is of great importance! :) Just make sure to stick to a brown shade!

7. Lip Balm and Lipstick

The lip balm keeps your lips hydrated and serves as a base for your lipstick. :)

Tip: When choosing a lipstick color, choose a shade closest to your natural lip color. :)

8. Loose Powder

Dust a bit of loose powder all over your face to tie the whole look together.

And finally! To turn your look from day to night, all you need is:

9. Smoky Eye Shadow

Just brush this on the crease of your eyes and blend! blend! blend!

Tip: Choose a charcoal shade for an intense effect without looking like you have a black eye. :))

So what do you think guys? Easy enough to pull off right? Not only that, it will give you more space in your bag for your other things and save you a lot of money. Sounds great to me considering I bring about 10 different lipsticks in my kikay kit  Haha! :)

Adele X Vogue

After a triumphant year for her career as well as a runaway win on this year's Grammy Awards, Adele graces the cover of Vogue March 2012 issue for the first time wherein she highlights her old world and at times even otherworldly beauty and charm.

She nailed it with her seductive cat eye makeup, complementing pale lips, heavily-contoured cheekbones and vavavoom luscious tresses. Top that off with her lacy flirtatious dress that accentuates her best assets.Perfection at its finest.

For this next outfit, Adele's seen lounging around wearing this super romantic Oscar Dela Renta haute couture dress matched with her dark red lips.

At  a young age of 23, Adele shows no sign of stopping even with a Grammy record already comparable to that of Jennifer Lopez. Having said that, I look forward to seeing and hearing more from her this year.  :)

OH YEAH! ZOYA

I've been randomly surfing the internet today and came across Zoya. Oh boy was it love at first sight!

What makes them stand out is that they're not only gorgeous to look at but also safe and healthy to use. They claim that their nail polish is free of harmful chemicals like toluene, formaldehyde, DBP (phthalates) and camphor that can cause your nails to turn yellow or crack after some time. Hence, they have been deemed to be the longest wearing natural nail polish by Women's Health Magazine.

Shopping through their website is a breeze! Everything is so neatly organized. They even have this "Color Finder" application that can help you spot that perfect color you desire. Although, I think you might have a little bit of trouble deciding what to buy because there's about 300 colors to choose from.

Here are some of my personal favorites (and soon can be found in my Christmas Wishlist) Ooooohhhh!!!

From their Sunshine Collection:

Kimmy
Rica

Faye

Tanzy

Reva

From their Summertime Collection:

Breezi

Aree

Kieko

Mira

From their Mod Mattes collection:
Lolly
Phoebe

From their Truth collection:

Penny

From their Classics collection:

Charisma

and last but certainly not least.... MY ULTIMATE FAVORITE ONE!

From La-Di-Da collection:

Pippa

A bottle costs about US$ 8 which is roughly around  Php345. Oh I know what you're thinking. That's way too expensive! I think so too but I guess that's the price you have to pay for quality.

How about you guys? What do you think of ZOYA? Do you think that it's a smart buy? Is it really long-lasting? :)
